ENROLMENTS FOR 2017: As we are now in the process of preparing for next year’s enrolments, it is now time to advise the office if you are leaving us at the end of this term (with the exception of Year 6). We do however require notification in writing and where your child/ren will be attending next year. Please hand your letters into the office as soon as possible. Thank you.
Pupil Free Days - 2017
Please contact Pip Kent on 0439 091300 if you can help out.
It is imperative that once you place your online order, you check your “active orders" section to ensure that your order has been captured correctly. We are having increasing numbers of children coming to canteen without orders being placed. This is causing distress for the children.
Try our new Brownes Dairy Natural Yoghurt pouches, 120g various flavours, $2.
Special this term only - Milo Active Go Milk Drink 200ml, BARGAIN PRICE OF $0.50 until the end of term or stocks run out.
Canteen Christmas Meal Deal - Friday 9th December
As mentioned in last week's newsletter, there have been many positive comments regarding the use of Subway for our end of term Meal Deals. Notably, the option of salad on rolls is a major plus - which, understandably, we as a canteen are unable to provide on the last day of term. Also, the cost of the deal remains the same as before and the need for volunteers is reduced.
Therefore, we have attached the Xmas order form (and one has been sent home with every child), to be completed and returned to either your classroom or the office by Wednesday, 30th November.
As Subway is an external supplier, NO LATE ORDER FORMS CAN BE ACCEPTED.
A GF option is available for $9. This will comprise a salad bowl with either ham or turkey (no sauce), a drink (choc milk, apple juice or water) and an apple. Please see the canteen directly to arrange this option.
The canteen will be closed for all other lunch and recess orders on this day. However, we will be open at recess for various $1 morning tea specials.
If you have any queries, please contact Pip Kent on 0439 091300

REFUGEE CHRISTMAS HAMPERS – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
A HUGE thank you to those families that have donated gifts to the refugee Christmas hampers. A gentle reminder to those that did not participate, to return your allocation note to your class teacher. This way we can ensure all family members receive a gift.
We are still looking for volunteers to help sort and wrap the hampers after drop off on Thursday, 24th November in the MPA. We also require volunteers in pairs to deliver the hampers on Friday, 25th November, after assembly. It should only take half an hour out of your day and can be such a rewarding act. Most families live locally and are so appreciative and excited to see you.
Please contact Simone, if you can assist.
Currently there is a lot of wastage at OLG. Click on the link to find out what we intend to do about it.

Message from Fr Patrick
Summer is almost upon us. May we find the light of the one who is "the light of the world" in the sweet light of summer. We can empty our hearts in prayer to the light of Jesus in our lives. It's time to review the year as the school year ends and give thanks for all the blessings our year gave us.

Their concern for people and their ability to create an atmosphere of friendliness and goodwill is invaluable. With the exciting move to Perth Children’s Hospital we are expanding the volunteer team and we are recruiting now for various roles. If you want to make a positive difference to the lives of children and their families who visit the hospital then we would like to hear from you. Please contact Andy Wahid, Coordinator Volunteer Services 08 9340 8716 or email email@example.com for further information.
Join us on January 9th till the 12th, 9.00am to 1.00pm each day
