Have an Issue or Concern?
"The Season of Advent affords us the opportunity to get in touch with our own spirituality, to reflect on the journey we’ve taken over the past year and to set goals for the coming year – spiritual resolutions."
"Our life is often distracted, self-centred and sometimes leaves us wishing we were better people. But if we can slow down and refocus our attention, we might realise that God is there, waiting to love us even though we have so many unfulfilled good intentions and so many unfulfilled desires about our spirituality."
"Our faith is not a vaccine that prevents bad things from happening to good people. Rather, our faith is the new seed that brings forth new life and hope out of a life that contains struggle, difficulty, conflict and maybe misunderstanding."

Parent-Teacher Interviews Week 8
This semester, parent-teacher interviews for Years PP - 6 will be held in Week 8.
The link to the PTO site is also on our school website at: www.olg.wa.edu.au
This week you will be receiving your individual login and password to access your children's classes. If two parents/guardians wish to attend a single interview, just one parent should make the booking. You will only see timeslots that are available at the time you are using the system.
If you encounter any problems using PTO, please contact the school office. I am sure the system will be beneficial to parents, staff and students. Any feedback you may wish to provide will be most welcome.
Please contact Pip Kent on 0439 091300 if you can help out.
It is imperative that once you place your online order, you check your “active orders" section to ensure that your order has been captured correctly. We are having increasing numbers of children coming to canteen without orders being placed. This is causing distress for the children.

REFUGEE CHRISTMAS HAMPERS UPDATE
Pre-primary to year 5 classes of Our Lady of Grace, once again is proud to be involved in collecting Christmas Hampers for refugees in need.
These classes should have received a note from their teachers regarding the family their class is collecting for. Thank you to those families that have returned gifts to their class hampers and to the class reps for providing the hampers. If you would like to donate a gift, please return the wrapped gift, labelled with the family details you are given (family number, gender and age) to the hamper in your class by Monday, 21st November.
If you do not wish to participate, we would appreciate it if you could simply return your allocation note to your teacher. This way we can ensure all family members receive a gift.
For those of you that wish to help further, please inform me, if you would be available to help wrap and sort the hampers on Thursday, 24th November after school drop off in the MPA - or if you would be available to deliver your class hamper in pairs on Friday, 25th November after assembly.
We are looking for someone that is interested in joining the team next year and taking over my role as the coordinator. It is a wonderful and rewarding experience. Please contact me if you would like to discuss this further.
We would like to thank you in advance for your involvement and continued efforts to help make this time of year a little more special for some refugees in need.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Message from Fr Patrick
Every one of us at various times know life as a struggle. But new life can arise out of struggle and we invite God to generate that new life both in and out of our struggles by helping us. We need to hang on to God in our struggle because we too can get to Resurrection out of our struggles, just like Jesus did after Calvary.
