12 October 2016
Welcome back from what I hope has been a relaxing and enjoyable family time.
On Monday our staff continued the development of their faith knowledge and understanding of the Christ-centred nature of a Catholic school. We spent the day with Alan Wedd, a university lecturer in this field, who we have contracted to present a five-year program focussed on this area.
How 3B turned a rainy Saturday afternoon into a collective learning opportunity
“The collective action of pursuing a worthy goal builds camaraderie, teamwork, and togetherness.” With this in mind, last Saturday I issued a challenge to my students, to join a “Mathletics Competition.” If able, each student was to complete as many online maths tasks as possible, within a 24 hour period, and see if our “3B Team” could make it into the Mathletics “Hall of Fame”

Please contact Pip Kent on 0439 091300 if you can help out.
It is imperative that once you place your online order, you check your “active orders" section to ensure that your order has been captured correctly. We are having increasing numbers of children coming to canteen without orders being placed. This is causing distress for the children.
Sports Carnival Subway Meal Deal forms have been sent home. All orders to be in by Friday 14th October. No late orders will be accepted. See attached flyer.
Unfortunately Subway have advised that they are unable to provide a gluten free option.
Canteen will be closed for regular orders on Friday 21st October.
Due to the end of term, certain items will be unavailable from canteen, however all orders will be replaced with items of similar value or money returned.
Congratulations to the students who received Merit Awards at last week's assembly.

Message from Fr Patrick
Welcome back to Term 4. Again all our prayer/poems this term are by Australia's own Michael Leunig. Today he invites us to accept the positive and negative about ourselves. That being said, he clearly wants God to be the anchor of our lives. With God as our anchor, we all can struggle with ourselves and yet still love Him and others.
