14 September 2016
On Sunday I had the great pleasure of being present at one of the Confirmation masses and sharing with the children and their families in the celebration of the conferring of this sacrament. I have always appreciated the work of the Spirit in my life - His/Her guidance and protection. It is certainly my hope that our children value and make great use of the Gifts that have been bestowed upon them.

Dates and things
As parents, we are fully aware that the beliefs that young people get into their heads, become the rules that control their actions for good or for not-so-good."
"If, when helping to shape our children’s beliefs, we concentrate on our children’s efforts rather than their ability, our praise might help them to value themselves for the effort they put towards achieving the goal itself. We can help them experience a sense of worth through the effort, the learning and the growth rather than the sense of worth being attached to the result."
"As we shape our children’s self-belief, we hopefully are preparing our children to be self-assured, fully functioning individuals who feel capable of pursuing their hopes and ambitions, whilst also being people who are caring, loving and lovable."
Please contact Pip Kent on 0439 091300 if you can help out.

St Vincent De Paul North Perth conference wool donations:
Do you have any spare wool lying around or are you able to make a donation of wool to help the St Vincent De Paul ladies knitting group? These amazing ladies donate their time working tirelessly to make essential woolen items such as scarves, beanies, children't clothes etc to help those in need in our community. These items are sometimes sold and all profits directly benefit the St Vincent De Paul charity.
Message from Fr Patrick
I love this prayer. It's one of my favourite Leunig peoms. Every one of us has somehing inside us that is Christ-like. We all too live Christ's journey of Easter in our lives.
It's a hard lesson to learn but a lesson that we all need to discover: good can come out of bad. It's the heart of the Christian message. Christ lived it. So can we.

***Attention Attention*** School APP is almost here - Release date soon to be announced.
Over the last few weeks the school APP has been trialled with great success and positive feedback with the notion of now rolling it out to the whole school community within a couple of weeks.
Basically the APP will allow communication on a one-way basis from those areas you wish to receive notifications for. For instance, if you have children in 1B and 5G, then you would select those corresponding boxes to receive notifications for those classes only.
Class reps and teachers will be given access to add items to their applicable class.
When you load up the Calendar, you'll see items that are added against all of the boxes that you have chosen to view. The idea being you should only see items that are relevant to you.
