What makes OLG special?
When people ask me what makes OLG special I usually refer to the 'community' spirit we enjoy. The many ways parents and grandparents are actively involved in school programs. Indeed, I tell them that the only reason we can offer many of those programs at the level we do is purely due to the active participation of the OLG adult community.
Blessed With Diversity
Please contact Pip Kent on 0439 091300 if you can help out.
It is imperative that once you place your online order, you check your “active orders" section to ensure that your order has been captured correctly. We are having increasing numbers of children coming to canteen without orders being placed. This is causing distress for the children.
This week's assembly will be presented by students in 3B. Parents of 3B children are invited to the staff room after the assembly for a cuppa with Mrs Halley McCormack. Congratulations to the students who received Merit Awards at last week's assembly.
Robin Armstrong was awarded with Life Membership by the P & F association in acknowledgment for her valued contribution and support given to the OLG community over many years.

Message from Fr Patrick
I find God in nature. So do many of you too. That's why we go away to be where we can be renewed. I also find God within in my human nature. I hope you can too. Simply, us and God together as one.

P & F News
Well the netball season went out with a bang at the Annual OLGNC Wind-up. It was a great night full of many warm and fuzzies and it was fantastic to see such a huge turnout. Many thanks to our volunteer coaches and managers and to our umpires who once again did a wonderful job this year. Father Patrick had the players making a bit of noise with his blessing and the Bop till you Drop Disco certainly ended the night on a high. Team photos with the ever popular Australian Diamond and 2016 Fever Captain, Ash Brazill will be available shortly to view. A very big thank you to our super organised Kristie Petlach who co-ordinated our wind-up event, you are amazing! Thank you also to Bec Carney for taking club photos on the night and Lee Walker for collecting our pizzas. To those that helped out in some capacity on the night, it was very much appreciated. Thank you!
Congratulations to the following recipients who won awards on the night:
Many thanks to our 2016 Committee Members. You have all volunteered so much of your time to ensure the smooth and successful running of our club. It is with sadness that we say good bye to Bec Carney. Bec did a wonderful job of co-ordinating the Equipment and Uniforms and was always willing to offer help where needed. Thank you for your precious time Bec! xx
Team 1 Year 6 - Team 1 narrowly missed out on making it straight through to the grand final on Saturday but they have a second chance this weekend when they play for a spot in the GF. Good luck girls, we know you can do it!

***Attention Attention*** School APP is almost here - Release date soon to be announced.
Over the last few weeks the school APP has been trialled with great success and positive feedback with the notion of now rolling it out to the whole school community within a couple of weeks.
Basically the APP will allow communication on a one-way basis from those areas you wish to receive notifications for. For instance, if you have children in 1B and 5G, then you would select those corresponding boxes to receive notifications for those classes only.
Class reps and teachers will be given access to add items to their applicable class.
When you load up the Calendar, you'll see items that are added against all of the boxes that you have chosen to view. The idea being you should only see items that are relevant to you.
