22 June 2016
Along with 1400 other Catholic Education personnel from around Australia Anne, Teresa and I have spent these last three days attending the National Catholic Education Commission Conference, an event that comes around just once each five years.
Education starts at birth. It comes from the experiences you involve your child in, like going to the zoo, supermarket or the beach and having conversations during and after these experiences; reading them stories; talking to them; playing games with them; giving them your time every day; making them know that they are loved; and, yes, taking them to Mass as well as sport.
Time in the game of learning is paramount. If your child is contagious, infectious or otherwise going to spread disease then please keep them home for their sake and that of the rest of us. If they just don't feel like it, send them to school.
Please contact Pip Kent on 0439 091300 if you can help out.
While the online ordering email confirmation is being rectified, once you place your order, please check in your “active orders” to ensure that your order has been captured correctly.

Congratulations to our teams who had their first win on the weekend - Fantastic News!
Last Thursday, Teams 1, 2, 3 (year 6) and Team 4 (year 5) participated in the Lightning Carnival held at Noranda Netball Centre. The teams played 6 or 7 games of dogged netball and although scores were not kept, our teams were extremely successful in their divisions. May we commend all players on their fair play and sportsmanship and it was humbling to hear that our players thoroughly enjoyed themselves too.
We are in 'search' of 3 sets of 'Net Set Go' bibs that have gone missing, colored blue, red and green. Managers and Coaches please check your bags to see if you have them.
For up and coming school holiday clinics please check the PNA and WDNA websites. There is also a clinic coming up in Mandurah on Sunday August 18, run by the tallest member of the Diamonds, Caitlin Bassett. See details below:
For your records, there are 2 byes over the school holidays on Saturday 9 and Saturday 16 of July.
