Hawaiian Disco - Thank You!
Jo and I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who gave their valuable time in the lead up to and on the day of the disco last Friday.
We simply could not have made this event a success without you! We have received so much positive feedback and it was clear to see what fun the children all had on the day! They all looked festive in their Hawaiian outfits too. It was also a successful fundraising event for the P&F, so thank you to everyone who attended and supported us. Thank you, Heidi and Jo.
P&F Ladies Crown Day
Hi All, back by popular demand is The Ladies Crown Day on Friday 29th July. The bus leaves The North Beach Bowling Club at 9.30am and returns to school for 3pm pick up. Lunch is at Rockpool for a 2 course lunch and a glass of bubbles/wine. Vegetarian and GF requests can be taken please advise myself. Tickets are $75 and limited to the first 60 people so please get in quick.
Well done on some hard fought wins and challenges on the weekend. It was great to see some first wins on the board too. Just a reminder that if you are sharing a photo of other children to please get permission from their parent first before putting it on facebook and the like.
Just a couple of other things to share:
Thank you to all of our parents and spectators for their wonderful encouragement while their child is playing netball. Coaching from the sideline is for the coach only which is outlined in the WDNA Rule book. Parents, at quarter time and half time, please remain behind the line so that the coaches can provide feedback to the players during this time. If you wish to provide feedback to your child, on the way home in the car is a good time to debrief the game.
WDNA are finalising their Re-Grading now, so hopefully Teams 1, 2, and 3 will be placed in their requested divisions. It was great to hear that the teams re-graded 2 weeks ago are now happy with their division and are enjoying the new challenge.
On another note, should you have a ‘strong’ concern during a game, the manager can grab the official card and head to the office and ask for an official to come and view the game.
One last thing, if you can get your hands on the Australian Netball Diamonds with Samsung #RethinkRoleModels campaign, be sure to show it to your budding netballer. The campaign features Aussie players like our very own Caitlin Bassett and is totally inspiring to watch. View it on facebook: search - Australian Netball Diamonds.
Good luck to all of our teams for round 6 and See You On The Court!
