Beatitudes Blessed are you who live in a world of anxiety, You shall speak of hope. Blessed are you who rely less on formal religion, You shall perceive the sacredness of ordinary life. Bless are you who perceive "the silent sigh", You shall speak for others. Blessed are you who have resources, experience and confidence, You shall empower others. Blessed are you who have been hurt by the church, You shall tend the wounded. Blessed are you who let go of the old answers, You are free to ask "What if...?" Blessed are you who are open to covenant, God shall walk with you. Amen.
Warmer weather is upon us as are the holidays! After a busy and very productive term I wish all in our school community a restful and very safe holiday break. Please remember that Monday 9th October is a pupil free day when the staff of the school will be doing a day-long course on a “new” Protective Behaviours curriculum (which is actually an adaptation of the curriculum OLG has been using for many years).
You may have seen on Flexibuzz that we have a significant collection of lost property in the office, much of which, has been there for many months. If unclaimed by Friday of the first week of next term the collection will be either donated to good causes or binned:
Prescription glasses will be recycled through an appropriate charity
Mobile phones will be sent for recycling
Kitchenware to St Vinnies
Keys to the bin
School clothing will be sold through the uniform shop
Thank you to everyone who supported the Kindy cake stall last week. A total of $331.50 was raised for the Kindy classes.
